Anne has had a 43 year career as a counsellor, manager, economic development consultant and a human resources and management consultant. At present she and her husband operate a safety training business.
She has a 40 year history in volunteerism serving as president of the boards of Family & Children’s Services, the YWCA and the Advisory Committee of the St. Thomas Fanshawe Campus. At present she volunteers on the Admin Committee of the Elgin Business Women’s Network, serves on the boards of the Elgin St. Thomas Community Foundation and the Arts & Cookery Bank.
In her spare time Anne is a full time Grandma to Lauren.

Gail McNaughton has been in the EBWN for 10 years and is an avid networker and communicator. Gail has lived in St. Thomas now for 14 years hailing from Toronto. She is co-owner of Dog & Pony Productions www.dogandpony.ca and has her own creative energy poured into doodling, greeting card making using local subject matter, painting, antique rug hooking and writing www.gailmcnaughton.com. Gail has authored 5 books with the most recent being Angel Witness. Gail has experience and college education in human resources, volunteer management and recreation leadership. If you want something done, ask a busy person and that’s Gail. She thrives on friendship, entrepreneurship and her animal zoo at home of a dog and three cats. |

Born in St. Thomas, Sue Smith returned in January 2001 after living in Toronto and Halifax. She has functioned as a consultant for almost 33 years and established SMITH & ASSOCIATES in 1984 as the sole proprietor. Sue is a Registered Professional Planner with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners with expertise in evaluation projects, planning for programs and services, feasibility studies, operational reviews, policy development and analysis using a wide range of public consultation techniques. She participates in a variety of volunteer activities and interests and enjoys being part of such an impressive group of women who are committed and have warm hearts!

Ann-Marie Cheung, sole proprietor of Flash Goddess Media www.fgnewmedia.com has over 12 years experience in multimedia and web design and development. As a graduate of the Ontario College of Art & Design, Ann-Marie contributes her unique design sensibility and creativity to all her projects. She has worked on e-learning projects, corporate presentations and projects for major financial institutions, and has creatively assisted many small to medium sized businesses.

Linda has lived and worked in Elgin County for 30 years, beginning in Aylmer at Big V Stores. Married in 1990 to Jeff, she moved to Belmont and continued her career with Shoppers Drug Mart at various locations from London to Woodstock, during this time also raising two daughters. Deciding to be her own boss, she opened and closed a franchise called PostNet. Now re-inventing herself, she balances a home based business with a family life.
Commitment to community extends to the fundraising committee for IPM2010 and recently nominated to Board of Directors for North American Railway Hall of Fame. |

Lori Wall has worked with Fresh Start Maternity Supports since 2005. She brings with her a background in Social Services as well as being the former co-owner of an independent family business. She has much experience presenting to the public through her work roles but also through her experience as a performer and recording artist. She is passionate about her work, promoting the ministry of Fresh Start which provides a safe home and extensive support to pregnant and parenting women in crisis. She joined Elgin Business Women’s Network with the goal of getting to know the community, which was new to her. She has been very pleased with the contacts, support and opportunities she has received from the network as it has greatly benefitted her personally and professionally. She joined the Admin committee in 2010 and is happy to be part of such a wonderful group of business women!
