Dr. Alison Konrad is Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Corus Entertainment Chair in Women In Management at the Richard Ivey School of Business, The University of Western. Dr. Konrad is an expert in Workplace Diversity.
She will speak at the November 9th Meeting of the Elgin Business Women’s Network on the subject of “The Status Of Women in Canadian Business Leadership”.

Alison M. Konrad, Ph.D., joined the Richard Ivey School of Business, U. of Western Ontario in 2003 as a Professor of Organizational Behaviour and holder of the Corus Entertainment Chair in Women in Management. She was Chair of the Academy of Management’s Gender and Diversity in Organizations Division in 1996-97 and received the Division’s Sage Scholarship Award for contributions to the field of gender and diversity in organizations in 1998. She is Co-Editor of the 2006 Sage Handbook of Workplace Diversity, and has published over 100 writings in the field of workplace diversity, including articles, book chapters, and cases. Professor Konrad’s current work focuses on organizational diversity initiatives and making workplaces more inclusive. |

Bob was raised on a farm near Ailsa Craig in Middlesex County. He is a cottager, naturalist, world traveler (every continent except Antarctica and Australia), fitness buff, marketing consultant, social media strategist, speaker, trainer, video producer, photographer and writer. He has a passion for engaging and inspiring others to tell their story to get results!
After several years in sales and marketing management with large corporate clients and advertising agencies, Bob founded Dog & Pony Productions Inc., a communications company, in 1999. He enjoys being ahead of the curve and was the first to introduce virtual tours, interactive CDs and animated graphics to the agricultural industry.
Bob is a life-long learner. He has a B.Sc. (Agriculture) from the University of Guelph and an MBA in Marketing from the Schulich School of Business at York University. He obtained certificates in advertising, several pharmaceutical therapeutic categories, financial investing (CSC), life insurance and is a Certified Social Media Strategist by SMM University. He founded Social Media COO in 2011 to help businesses market with social media.

Ann-Marie, sole proprietor of Flash Goddess Media has over 12 years experience in multimedia and web design and development. As a graduate of the Ontario College of Art & Design, Ann-Marie contributes her unique design sensibility and creative thought process to all her projects. Over the years, she has worked on e-learning projects, corporate presentations and projects for major financial institutions, and has creatively assisted many small to medium sized businesses.
Ann-Marie helps businesses create an attractive, effective online presence with a modern identity. She does this through website design and development, graphic design, and recently, social media.
With a keen interest in promoting and supporting other women, Ann-Marie presently volunteers on the EBWN Admin committee. A busy mom to two wonderful children, she is also passionate about healthy living, fitness, environmental issues and life-long learning.
